You'll be notified about any issues as soon as they occur. Nest Protect automatically runs a Self Test, where it checks its batteries and sensors every 200 seconds. You can silence the alarm on your smart device so that the alarm can be turned off when the danger is over, and all is safe.
The Nest Protect is designed to detect fast burning and smouldering fires using a Split-Spectrum Sensor in 2 wavelengths.
It will also detect carbon monoxide signs, ensuring your whole home is covered. Nighttime fires can be the scariest. The Nest Protect will light up the way with a green glow that can be turned off and adjusted when all is safe again.
Installing the device is relatively straightforward. Place the device where it will be most effective, then hook it up to the Wi-Fi and the nest app by following the on-screen instructions. Simple and easy!
