With an output of 12kW, this regular gas boiler is the least powerful in its range, however, it is ideal for smaller homes with a low demand for central heating and hot water. This regular boiler is powerful enough to heat a home with up to 10 radiators and a bathroom. If you feel that your home requires a higher demand for heating and hot water, Glow-worm has also designed the Energy Regular 15kW, 18kW, 25kW and 30kW which could be better suited to your home.
It is important to note that when buying a new or replacement regular boiler, that you will need to accommodate additional space in the attic for a cold water storage cistern, as well as a hot water cylinder, which is typically located in an airing cupboard. For this reason, we don’t recommend a regular gas boiler for homes with limited space.
On the other hand, regular gas boilers are perfect for homes that require a high demand for hot water and central heating, as the hot water is stored ready for when needed.
