Alpha has designed the E-Tec 30S system gas boiler to be a compact unit that can be installed directly inside a standard kitchen cupboard, saving you space around your home. However, it is important to note when purchasing a new or replacement system boiler, that an additional hot water cylinder will be required.
The water supply for a system boiler comes directly from the mains, which eliminates the need for a cold water feed in the loft as you would need with a regular gas boiler, however, a hot water storage cylinder is still needed. This is because the water is then heated up in the boiler and stored for when you need it.
The E-Tec 30S is the most powerful of its range with an output of 29.7kW. Although this boiler is perfect for medium-sized homes that have a high demand for heating and hot water, you may find that this amount of power is not necessary for your home. If you find that this is the case, Alpha has designed the E-Tec 20S, with an output of 26.1W, for a home with lesser demand.
